Das Soos-Becken befindet sich nordöstlich des Kurortes Františkovy Lázně und mit seinen ausgedehnten Hochmooren und mineralreichen Torfmooren gehört es zweifellos zu den wertvollsten Naturreservaten überhaupt.
An manchen Stellen durchbrachen tiefe Mineralquellen die einige Meter dicke Kieselgurdecke, die aus kleinen, 10 bis 80 cm tiefen Kratern sprudeln.
Die Kaiserquelle ist die wärmste Quelle im Egerbecken mit ca. 14 bis 18 °C.

The Soos Basin is located northeast of the spa Františkovy Lazne and with its vast mineral-rich peat bogs and undoubtedly is one of the most valuable nature reserves at all.
